Tori Spelling is going back under the knife to have her "expired" and "recalled" breast implants removed.
During a recent appearance on "Jeff Lewis Live" on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, the 48-year-old revealed her she plans to undergo surgery in February 2022 and have her current breast implants removed. The "Beverly Hills 90210" alum said she will have them replaced with bigger ones that will actually "look smaller" due to their new and improved shape.
Lewis, who formerly hosted Breast Implant Awareness Month on the show, applauded Spelling for doing her "due diligence" this time around.
"When is it happening? How big are we going? Are we going silicone or saline? Are you doing a lift? I just have so many questions," he asked.
"They don't know what's in there until they get in there, basically," Spelling explained, adding that the surgeon will "take them out, clean them up, put new implants in."
Earlier this month, the actress took to Instagram to reveal that her existing implants had expired and been recalled.
According to experts, saline and silicone implants can expire after approximately 10 to 20 years. While some women may never experience issues with their breast implants, others may notice signs like change in shape, hardening, or change in position (one breast may be lower than the other), which can indicate a replacement is needed.
Some implants may rupture or begin to leak. Although there might not be symptoms of a rupture or leak, you may notice some tingling, pain or swelling in the breast, numbness, a burning sensation and decreased breast size.
With her upcoming surgery, Spelling explained that in order have a more natural look, her surgeon recommended adding "side boob" and that her current implants are "hard" and "projecting out [the] front."
Spelling hopes that her new implants will add some modesty to her overall look.
"I want to be able to dress sexy but I want to be able to [be] conservative and not be, like, all boobs," she said.
