Tracy Morgan, wife Megan Wollover announce divorce after nearly 5 years of marriage
Tracy Morgan and his wife Megan Wollover are filing for divorce after nearly five years of marriage.
“This is a challenging time for all involved, so I ask that you please respect our privacy,” Morgan said in a statement to the Associated Press.
USA TODAY has reached out to Morgan's reps for further comment.
Morgan, 51, married Wollover, 33, in August of 2015, a year after Morgan was critically injured in a highway crash that occurred when a Wal-Mart truck slammed into the back of a limo Morgan was riding in. One man was killed in the crash that left the former “30 Rock” star and two friends seriously injured. As a result of his injuries, Morgan had to learn to walk again.
"After almost losing Tracy last year, I am so grateful to finally be married to the love of my life," Wollover told People in 2015. Morgan had told the magazine his wedding to Wollover motivated his recovery.
"I don't want to walk my wife down the aisle with a cane or in a wheelchair," he said. "So I had to go hard with the therapy."

Maven Sonae, the couple's only child together, attended the ceremony. She is now seven.
Morgan also shares three adult sons – Tracy Morgan Jr., 28, Malcolm Morgan, 32, and Gitrid Morgan, 34 – from his previous marriage to Sabina Morgan.
Following "30 Rock," Morgan has starred on the television comedy "The Last O.G." since 2018. He has also lent his voice to episodes of various animated shows, including "The Simpsons," "Green Eggs and Ham" and "Animals."
