Trader Joe’s Recalls Popular Frozen Meal—It May Contain Plastic Pieces

In January, Trader Joe's celebrated this year's Customer Choice Award winners. They are the most popular products according to customers. The runner-up for the overall top spot included soup dumplings. If you are a super fan of this frozen meal and regularly stock up on it, go check your freezer.
This weekend, Trader Joe's announced a recall of its Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings because they may contain plastic pieces. The problem was discovered after consumers complained that they found hard plastic in the dumplings. According to CJ Foods Manufacturing Beaumont Corporation, the manufacturer of the soup dumplings, the hard plastic comes from a permanent marker pen.

Currently, there are no reported injuries or illnesses connected to this recall. The recall does not include Trader Joe's Steamed Pork & Ginger Soup Dumplings.
