Travis Kelce Made A Sweet Tribute To Taylor Swift As He Missed Her Final Eras Tour Show

It might be the end of an era for the Eras Tour, but there are still easter eggs to be dissected and tidbits of the cultural phenomenon to be digested. A case in point: Travis Kelce's sweet and heartwarming tribute to his girlfriend Taylor Swift, as she performed her final show.

Unable to make her closing performance on December 8 in Vancouver due to an NFL game with his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, a suspiciously Swift-looking Mrs Claus decoration was spotted at the Arrowhead Stadium. The figure appeared on the wall at the stadium surrounded by tinsel, with the 34-year-old megastar’s face stuck onto it.

Naturally, given the couple's proclivity for PDA, there was a matching Santa nearby with Kelce's face grinning from under a fluffy red hat.

Five continents, 19 countries, 149 performances, 10 million fans and an estimated $9 billion (£7.1 billion) in overall economic impact, Swift's Eras Tour has been the record-making, billion dollar-making cultural juggernaut that will come to define 2024.

According to Forbes, Swift has grossed $1.93 billion (£1.52 billion) in ticket sales from the Eras Tour – she was identified as a billionaire in October 2023 thanks to its success. Aside from direct revenue, the tour has also made headlines for boosting the GDP (the value of goods and services produced in an area) wherever it goes. Overall, this has reached an estimated $9 billion (£7.1 billion), with the highest boost recorded in the US, where it's thought to have generated more than $4 billion (£3.1 billion).

As for her next move, while nothing has been confirmed yet, it's believed that her focus is on releasing her next album and the long-awaited Reputation (Taylor's Version). One thing's for sure though, whichever era she enters next, we don't doubt it'll be yet another seriously successful one.
