After a particularly dirty third presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the normally jovial Al Smith Dinner on Thursday night wasn’t quite as light-hearted as usual. While the white-tie fundraiser - which benefits Catholic charities - is normally used as an evening of levity in presidential campaigns and a time for the major party candidates to "make nice," Clinton and Trump’s dislike for one another is so palpable that the evening ended up having some very awkward moments.
