On The Real Housewives of New York City,Bethenny Frankel traveled to Puerto Rico, post-Hurricane Maria, to continue her disaster relief efforts. Frankel, who was joined by fellow housewife Dorinda Medley, was taken on a tour by a charity partner, who explained to the housewives that, even though the hurricane hit several months before, Puerto Rico still looks as though it happened yesterday. With $125,000 in cash cards, Frankel and her team traveled around Puerto Rico to distribute money to those in need. "It's not that easy to distribute six figures in cash cards because I'm not just giving it to some organization. I need to see where it's going," said Frankel.  One woman, who was touched by Frankel's act of kindness, told her that she was the first person from the States to come and bring them actual money. Frankel shared, "We have heard dozens upon dozens of times, 'You're the only person who's come here, and you're the only person who's given us money.' None of the money that is advertised is getting to the people."RHONYfans loved that Bravo included footage from Puerto Rico in the episode, and fans took to Twitter to praise the housewife's efforts, with tweets like:

In the end, Frankel and Medley pointed out that Puerto Rico's resilience puts things into perspective and serves as a reminder of gratitude. Medley stated, "I never want to hear that statement, when people say, 'Oh, I could never.' Yeah, you'd be surprised what you could do when you have to do it. And the amazing thing is the people that do it with such pride and dignity." While Frankel stated, "We are so out of touch with our eyelashes and our selfies and our bullsh*t, and, literally, people don't have the basics."
