Justin Gaethje delivered the performance of his life vs. Tony Ferguson to win the interim lightweight title and a chance for the undisputed belt vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov. Gaethje’s reckless ways of the past were long gone as the rising star stayed poised over four and half rounds to catch Ferguson with 143 significant strikes en route to the belt.

In the co-main event, the self-proclaimed “King of Cringe” Henry Cejudo finished former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz in the second round with a knee to the jaw followed up by several unanswered punches to the head. Cejudo then shocked viewers post-fight when he announced his retirement from mixed martial arts saying he’s happy with his career.
