As if the most disparaged generation on the internet needs another reason to be vilified, a recent poll conducted by a startup clothing brand has found that millennial men are pretty vain about their butts and apparently are still getting shopping help from their mothers.

As part of its launch, Taylrd, a new e-commerce brand catering to young men, conducted a survey of its target audience and claims the shocking revelation is proof of its need to exist.

Taylrd surveyed 1,000 men and found that 40 percent of respondents had received clothing from their mothers within the previous six months. And it wasn’t just the young ones who relied on Mom’s help either. The older end of the 18- to 32-year-old demographic confessed to being shopping-challenged, with 30 percent of the 30-year-olds guilty of needing Mama’s help. Perhaps not surprising to folks in other areas of the country, the geographic breakdown shows that these dependent dudes are mostly in the Northeast.

The other compelling note from the brand’s research exercise is that these millennial men score pretty high on the vanity scale. Around 25 percent of the guys surveyed confessed to caring deeply about how their butts look. When reviewing the data, Taylrd also found that more guys in the Southwest cared about how their behinds look, while the guys in the Northeast region were a bit more concerned with the appearance of their junk in the front.

Maybe these findings will come as no surprise for those in older generations. But it seems that the rise in men’s clothing and grooming brands has a solid future, even if the guys in question still need Mommy to help them look their best.
