Victoria Beckham has addressed the challenges of raising a family of four while juggling a demanding career, saying she always tries to be the "best mother, the best wife, and the best professional".

"I try really, really hard. I try hardest to be the best mother," the former Spice Girl told a 300-strong audience at the Forbes Women's Summit in New York on Tuesday, June 19 (via WWD).

"I am trying to be the best wife and the best professional. When I get home I try to put the phone down and spend time with the children and spend time with David."

The fashion designer also credited "incredible husband" David Beckham for his support which makes her work/life balance so much easier in their equal household.

"I have the support of an incredible husband," she continued. "We really are equal with everything we do at home with the children. When I'm away he's the one doing the school run and doing the cooking."

Victoria confessed that despite her attempts to keep her work-life separate from her family life, she occasionally sneaks off to the bathroom to send an email or two.

"I've been known to hide in the bathroom at weekends just to send a little email," she added.

The 44-year-old star's comments follow denials from the couple's spokespeople over claims on social media that she and David were set to divorce.

"This is nonsense," Victoria's spokesperson told Harper's Bazaar when asked about the allegations. A representative for David also denied the rumours.

The couple have been married for 19 years, and have four children together: Brooklyn (19), Romeo (15), Cruz (13) and six-year-old daughter Harper.

Over the weekend, Victoria paid tribute to "best daddy" David to mark Father's Day.

Sharing an image of the former footballer on Instagram with his children, VB added the caption: "I think they love him. Truly the best daddy."
