Victoria Beckham has shared an adorable picture from her ninth birthday party as she celebrates turning 48 years old today.

The former pop star can be seen smiling in the sweet throwback shot, while posing with a large square iced cake with friends in the background.

As befits her future as a style icon and designer, the star-to-be was already fashion-forward in a pink blouse with frilly detailing along with her brunette locks styled into a full fringe.

Captioning the image, shared to Instagram, she wrote: "Feels like yesterday! My 9th birthday party. Happy Birthday to me."

Beckham's post went down well with social media users, who left more than a thousand birthday wishes.

Fellow Spice Girls band member Emma Bunton commented: "Happy birthday – love you lots."

Anders Christian Madsen, a fashion critic at Vogue, shared: "Good blouse. Happy birthday."

It comes as the birthday girl spent the Easter weekend with her family, including a pet bunny called Coco.

The mother-of-four shared a picture to Instagram of her youngest child, 10-year-old daughter Harper, snuggling up to the fluffy rabbit.

Captioning the image, she wrote: "Happy Easter weekend!! Kisses from #HarperSeven and Coco the bunny."

Similarly, husband David, 46, posted a funny video to Instagram of himself sharing a carrot with the cute pet.

Last week, the couple celebrated the wedding of their eldest, 23-year-old son Brooklyn, to actress Nicola Peltz, 27.
