A video has been published which claims to show Prince Andrew inside the home of disgraced US financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The Mail on Sunday said the clip depicted the Duke of York in the doorway of the New York mansion of convicted paedophile Epstein, who took his own life in a Manhattan jail cell earlier this month.

In the video, reportedly filmed on December 6, 2010, Andrew appears to look out from the front door of the property in Manhattan after Epstein leaves with a young woman.

The clip dates from around the same time Andrew was photographed walking through Central Park in New York with Epstein.

Two years previously, in 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty in a Florida court to procuring an underage girl for prostitution.

Epstein, 66, killed himself in jail earlier this month while awaiting trial after being charged with sex trafficking. The New York medical examiner ruled his death was a “suicide by hanging”.

He was known to have courted celebrity friends and acquaintances over the years, including Andrew, former US president Bill Clinton and current US president Donald Trump.

The Mail on Sunday said the video of Andrew, who was then the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade, was taken less than hour after Epstein had left the £63 million mansion with a blonde woman.

Last week, two prison guards were suspended and a warden reassigned from the jail where Epstein was found dead following reports that 30-minute checks were not carried out properly.

Epstein was accused of paying girls under the age of 18 to perform sex acts at his Manhattan and Florida mansions between 2002 and 2005.

He was arrested last month after he landed in New Jersey on his private jet.

Last week, Buckingham Palace responded to claims by Virginia Giuffre, now 35, that she was forced to have sex with Epstein’s acquaintances.

A spokeswoman for the Palace said: "This relates to proceedings in the United States, to which the Duke of York is not a party.

“Any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue."
