In addition to celebrities being interviewed as they hit the red carpet, the VMAs’ pre-show will also feature the night’s first major performances, with both Sabrina Carpenter and NLE Choppa bringing their latest hits to the stage.
The pre-show will also reveal some of the night’s first big winners. Taylor Swift entered the pack going into Tuesday’s ceremony, nominated for 11 total VMAs, including Artist of the Year and Video/Song of the Year for “Anti-Hero.” SZA, also contending for Video and Song of the Year, came in second with eight nominations, while a handful of other artists — Minaj, Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Blackpink and Olivia Rodrigo — received six nods apiece.
