This year has gone so fast, it's almost time to find the next winner of The Voice again.

The popular NBC competition show is set to return this fall for its 21st season since first premiering in April of 2011. Before you know it, host Carson Daly will be gracing our screens once again to keep coach Blake Shelton and the rest of the panelists in check as they search for the next big superstar.

To keep things interesting, NBC is changing one huge thing about the upcoming season when it comes to the coaching panel (which you can read more about below). But otherwise, the show will likely run similar to how it has in the past. To make sure you don't miss a second of the action, read on below for all the key details about The Voice season 21.

When does The Voice season 21 start this fall?

The Voice season 21 will premiere on NBC Monday, September 20, 2021 at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes will then air Monday nights from 8 to 10 p.m. ET and 8 to 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday nights throughout the fall.

What will The Voice episode schedule look like?

Assuming NBC sticks to a somewhat normal fall TV schedule — though we know this is already not entirely the case, as the network's smash-hit drama This Is Us is not returning until mid-season — we can assume that the show will run from late September to mid-December.

As always, a few episodes will be dedicated to the Blind Auditions round, followed by the Battles and Knockouts. Those contestants who make it past those rounds then must impress the country with their live performances until eventually we make it to the season finale.

Will The Voice season 21 have a live audience?

Yes! Though seasons 19 and 20 were filmed without a live studio audience due to the coronavirus pandemic, tickets to attend the filming of The Voice in Universal City, California have been available throughout the summer. To attend, NBC is requiring that all audience members be 18 years or older, fully vaccinated against COVID-19, provide a negative COVID test result and wear face coverings when asked.

As of July 28, The Voice was finding audience members for the Battles. For more info, visit The Voice's ticket website.

Who are The Voice season 21 coaches?

Now for the big reveal (which might not be so shocking if you regularly keep up with news about the show). For season 21, The Voice is saying goodbye to coach Nick Jonas and hello to Grammy-winning artist Ariana Grande. The big announcement broke in late March when the "Thank U, Next" singer shared the news on Twitter.

" surprise !!! i am beyond thrilled, honored, excited to be joining @kellyclarkson @johnlegend @blakeshelton next season ~ season 21 of @nbcthevoice ! @nickjonas we will miss you," Ariana tweeted at the time.

Nick promptly tweeted back at Ariana, "You’re going to kill it next season! Welcome to the family 😎."

What happened to Nick Jonas?

Though Nick never gave a set reason for his departure, viewers should know that it's fairly common for one of the coaches to rotate in and out. For a while, Nick and Gwen Stefani were taking turns coming on and leaving the show and before that Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys traded places a few times.

Does this mean Nick will come back? It's possible, but it's too early to tell for now. In the meantime, Nick continues to be involved with NBC. Along with his brothers Joe and Kevin Jonas, Nick worked on the NBC special Olympic Dreams Featuring the Jonas Brothers ahead of the Tokyo Games.

How can I watch and stream The Voice?

First and foremost, you can flip over to NBC to watch The Voice on Monday and Tuesday evenings when season 21 returns on September 20. Live TV streaming services YouTube TV, Sling TV and fuboTV all carry NBC, so you'll be able to watch in real time there, as well.

Can't watch in real time? There are still plenty of options, so no need to worry. The morning after they air on NBC, full episodes are available to watch on NBC.com/The-Voice. If you watch a lot of NBC programming, consider downloading the free NBC app, which will give you access to NBC content on your iOS, Android, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Echo, Amazon Alexa, Xbox One, Samsung Smart TV, Xbox 360 or Vizio TV device.

Hulu subscribers can also catch up on The Voice via the streaming service's app. New subscribers can try Hulu for free for 30 days and sign up afterward for $5.99 per month.
