VOTE: Do you like the name given to Baby Sussex?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle showed off their newborn son to the world on Monday — and now he has a name. Meet Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who is 7th in line to the throne.
When asked what it’s like to be a new mother, Meghan said "it's magic.”
“It's pretty amazing, and I have the two best guys in the world, so I am really happy,” she told reporters.
After Archie was born, Harry told the press he was “over the moon.”
"It's only been 2½ days, three days, but we're just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy, to be able to spend some precious time with him as he slowly starts to grow up,” he said.

But many were surprised at the name announcement of “Archie,” as it wasn’t what many were betting on with the bookies. Spencer was one of the top guesses in recent days for a boy.
Who had "Archie" in the sweepstakes? Some guy down at the bookies with a 4,500:1 bet just got lucky. https://t.co/hrsxZ7luRs

The winning selection of "Archie" would have been a massive 100/1 this afternoon!

And of course, “Riverdale” jokes, relating to the teen TV show based on the Archie Comics, were what many people thought of first.

Archie makes sense. Buckingham is basically Riverdale with crowns.

Let's all just respect the power move of a ginger prince naming his son Archie. pic.twitter.com/K3V3n5M7Me

Some really love the name, and feel that it’s already a perfect sign that the royal family is moving away from tradition.
I love Archie Harrison. I love that it's classic, but feels true to the couple — like it was really what they wanted, not what tradition dictated. It's really the perfect balance of a name with history that's still modern, just like Harry and Meghan as a couple! It's also CUTE.
