BEST: Phoebe Waller-Bridge
Not only did the “Fleabag” star took home the Emmy for “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy” and “Outstanding Writer for a Comedy Series,” but she wowed our editors with her cream-coloured gown by Monique Lhuillier.
WORST: Amy Adams
The “Sharp Objects” actress’s Fendi look underwhelmed the Yahoo Canada team, with the sheer overlay and appliqués leaving much to be desired from the usual red carpet standout.
BEST: Zendaya
The “Euphoria” star turned heads in an emerald green gown by Vera Wang with corset detail and glamorous old Hollywood waves.
Worst: Dascha Polanco
The “Orange is the New Black” actress’s Christian Siriano gown that featured “shrimp cocktail” style shoulder details that overshadowed the actress on the red carpet.
Best: Mandy Moore
The “This Is Us” actress celebrated her first nomination for “Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series” by wearing a fashion-forward pink and red gown by Brandon Maxwell.
Worst: Amy Poehler
The “Saturday Night Live” alum made our worst-dressed list thanks to this ill-fitting gold jumpsuit and tie detail underwhelmed our editors.
BEST: Julia Louis-Dreyfus
The “Veep” actress turned heads on the purple carpet and proved why she’s television royalty a plunging custom gold gown by Oscar de la Renta.
WORST: Kim Kardashian West
Although a considerably tame look for the mother-of-four, our editors were unimpressed by the star’s velvet look and bulky accessories on the Emmy purple carpet.
BEST: Taraji P. Henson
The “Empire” star delivered high-drama in a bold pink and red gown by Vera Wang with flowing caped sleeves.
WORST: Jenny McCarthy
The Sirius XM radio host and red carpet correspondent’s pop-punk inspired look may have been designed by Alexander McQueen, but it looked like a better fit for an Avril Lavigne music video circa 2002.
BEST: Sophie Turner
The “Game of Thrones” star looked every inch the Queen of the North in this structured satin gown by Louis Vuitton and elegant diamond necklace.
WORST: Gwyneth Paltrow
The Oscar-winning actress looked ready to take flight in a monochrome Valentino look with dramatic feathered sleeves that were a major fashion don’t for the Yahoo team.
