Walmart Recalls a Popular Snack in 30 States Due To Undeclared Allergens

You may need to check your snack drawer if you shop at Walmart, especially from its Great Value line, the store's affordable private brand. Today, John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. (JBSS) announced a voluntary recall of Great Value Honey Roasted Cashews after a customer reported finding coconut cashews in a product labeled honey roasted cashews.

The company reported that it mistakenly labeled coconut cashews as honey roasted cashews. The recalled product contains undeclared coconut and milk.

If you or someone in your household has a coconut or milk allergy, you should not consume or serve the recalled product. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions; however, those with allergies or sensitivities to coconut and milk run the risk of serious reactions, including anaphylaxis, if they consume this product.
