Washington upends No. 9 Arizona on Dominic Green's buzzer-beating jumper

In the final moments of a Pac-12 thriller, the Washington Huskies’ Dominic Green drained a buzzer-beating dagger on a broken play to topple the Arizona Wildcats at home, 78-75. Freshman Arizona center DeAndre Ayton’s shot-blocking ability has been questioned throughout his freshman year. However, against Washington, Ayton recorded three blocks and on the final defensive possession of a tie game, adroitly patrolled the paint and rejected freshman Jaylen Nowell’s floater without fouling to ensure overtime.

That was until a fortuitous bounce wound up in the hands of Green, who had also drained a game-tying corner 3 a minute earlier. He sunk this one too, gathering the deflection and launching the game-winning trey. Green finished with 14 points off the bench and kept the 17-6 Huskies firmly in the NCAA Tournament hunt.
