Downton Abbey officially hits theaters in the Untied States today, and to celebrate we're unveiling the answers to your burning movie-related questions straight from the source.

Sophie McShera and Lesley Nicol, who play Daisy Mason and Mrs. Patmore in the series and film, stopped by the offices of T&C and our sister brand Delish to participate in a rapid fire question-and-answer session—while racing to see who can create 15 tea sandwiches the fastest.

The rules for the challenge were simple: both actresses had to continuously answer our questions while making sandwiches, a nod to their on-screen counterparts who work in the kitchen at Downton Abbey. The sandwiches had to include three ingredients: a spread and two fillings.

In the video above, McShera and Nicol sound off on which Downton cast member is most like their character in real life (they both agreed on Jim Carter, who plays Mr. Carson in the series and movie) and who is the best cook in the cast—to which both ladies answered "definitely not us."

McShera and Nicol also had a moment of appreciation for the great Maggie Smith, who stars as the scene-stealing Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham and is famous for her zingers on Downton. They each picked their favorite Dowager Countess one-liner from the series: Nicol loves the classic "what is a weekend," while McShera favors "I never argue. I explain."

McShera and Nicol are two of the roughly 20 beloved cast members who are returning for the Downton Abbey film. The actresses are reprising their iconic roles as Downton's kitchen staff in the movie, which centers on the Crawley family's preparations for a royal visit from King George V and Queen Mary.
