'Wheel of Fortune' fans can't get enough of endearing contestant

Wheel of Fortune contestant Colin Donahue was just bursting with charisma on Thursday. The 39-year-old from Commanche, Iowa, was so happy and his energy was contagious.

From the very beginning he had host Pat Sajak smiling. And he got a chuckle from the audience when he enthusiastically said he was a customer service agent for the “greatest insurance agency on the planet.” He also revealed that his favorite hobbies are “eating and sleeping.”

He appeared to be a little too excited when the game officially started. He buzzed too early on the first puzzle and apologized, earning yet another chuckle from Pat.

Throughout the game he endeared himself to fans and viewers in various ways. He tricked Pat into thinking he got a Bankrupt mystery wedge when in reality he got $10,000. Pat jokingly scolded Colin, saying “Hey, don't mess with the host.”

Colin was not just charismatic, he was also very good at solving puzzles. In a recent interview, Colin said he’s been a fan of the game show since he was a small child. It showed, as he ended up winning $60,350... and tons of adoration from viewers.
