Where did HGTV build its 2025 dream home? Look no further than Bluffton, South Carolina
A new home has been built in Bluffton, and it’s not just any home — it’s the 2025 HGTV Dream Home, a build that will captivate home enthusiasts nationwide.
Described as a “classic southern abode with Lowcountry charm,” the Bluffton home hosts three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a prep kitchen off the main kitchen, a porch off the main bedroom and even a pet washing station in the laundry room.
Shoreline Construction, based in Bluffton, built the home. Court Atkins Group was the architecture firm on the project, and it was designed by TV producer and HGTV interiors specialist Brian Patrick Flynn, according to the HGTV website.
Additional details about the home, including dimensions and location, will be available in early December, according to Alexa Butterman, a communications specialist for Warner Bros. Discovery.
Interested fans can sign up to receive daily reminders to enter the giveaway, which starts on Dec. 17 at 9 a.m. EST and ends on Feb. 14, 2025 at 5 p.m. EST. Individuals can enter on the HGTV website by submitting the online entry form, which is limited to one entry per person per day.
The complete rules, including details on when the winner will be selected, will become available on Dec. 17. Public tours and mail-in entries are not available for this years’ house.
According to last years’ sweepstakes rules, all federal, state and local taxes on the grand prize were the winner’s responsibility.
This is not the first time an HGTV dream home has been built in the Lowcountry. Just five years ago in 2020, the home was built on Hilton Head Island. In 2013, Charleston was selected as the site for the home. In 1998, the home was built in Beaufort.
