This is why dog Halloween costumes are a $350 million business

I dress my dog up for Halloween every year. Her first year, we couldn’t decide on just one costume so she had four: a ladybug, a monkey, a pumpkin and a clown. We switched things up for each walk. And I’m not alone.

According to The Star, 20 million Americans dress up their pets each year. A Halloween Spending survey conducted by the National Retail Federation found that “pet costumes at Halloween will hit $350-million in sales in the U.S. this year.” Not a small price for turning Rover into say, a ghost, a lobster or a banana peel.
