Hello and no, Prince William and Kate Middleton have not broken up. Rumors that the royal couple split began making the rounds this morning due to an MSN article, which has since been deleted (a pretty strong indication in and of itself that the story is false).

The article alleged that William and Kate have separated and the Duchess of Cambridge moved out of their home with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

However, Newsweek did some digging into the story once MSN published their piece and reports that a French website called Oh My Mag also claimed the marriage was over. The website's publisher confirmed this to Newsweek, saying in a statement via a spokesperson, "This story is indeed false and has been published by accident. We are taking it down momentarily."

It's unclear if Oh My Mag was the very first to report this false breakup news, but either way MSN seems to have published a version of their story translated into English in addition to tweeting this:

A cached version of the article alleges that palace staff overheard a "heated discussion" between Kate and Wills (which sounds like fan fiction, just in case you want more assurance that this news is 100 percent false).

Meanwhile, William and Kate just took a trip to Scotland together, and Newsweek notes that they are expected to attend the Top Gun: Maverick premiere on May 19.

This has been a weird update! As you were!
