Yummy Answers is about answering all the questions you might have about kitchen hacks, tiktok recipes, old wives’ tales (for the kitchen) and more.

Living with a health-conscious partner means that if I ever get a craving for potato chips, it’s up to me to finish the entire packet.

But more often than not, the packet will be left in the fridge for way too long and by the time I retrieve it and bite into one, the similarity to cardboard boxes is startling.

I knew instinctively that baking it or perhaps chucking it into the airfryer could potentially revitalise it, but I was more interested in this hack, which tells us to simply microwave the chips for a couple of seconds to bring it back to life. All we need is a cup of water, stale chips and a microwave.
