Zara's Makeup Collection Is Here — and It's Good

Editing down your Zara shopping cart is about to get a lot harder, seeing as the beloved fast fashion retailer has just launched an in-house makeup collection.
Zara Beauty is debuting with a full range of color cosmetics, including four finishes of lipstick, two lip treatments, eyeshadow palettes, loose pigment, liquid eyeliner, face palettes, blush, bronzer, highlighter, nail polish, and six makeup brushes. All of the products are vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated with clean ingredients. And in true Zara fashion, the prices are affordable, ranging from $8 to $26.
Keeping sustainability in mind, many of the products are refillable, with refills starting at $5. These options include the lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes, and face palettes.

As for the packaging, it's sleek, minimal, and white with black trim. The nail polish bottles are curved as a nod to the shape of the letter "Z."
The collection was created in collaboration with legendary makeup artist Diane Kendal. As creative director of Zara Beauty, Kendal spent the past year in Zoom meetings with brand in order to get the collection just right.
"When Zara approached me to lead the creative direction of Zara Beauty, I saw an opportunity to make something that everyone would want to use," Kendal said in a statement. "Zara has always reached such a diverse audience, and I wanted to bring that same big vision to beauty with a collection that is clean, refillable and accessible to all. I am really proud of what we have created: an expansive array of consciously unique formulas for eyes, lips, face, and nails."

Zara Beauty is now available at Zara stores in the U.S., Europe, Canada, Mexico, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, and will launch in the Middle East in June. You can also shop the collection at zara.com, and use the retailer's virtual try-on tool to find your perfect shades.

The glittery pigment is truly a multi-purpose product. Zara recommends swiping it onto your eyes, lips, or cheeks for a bit of sparkle. Along with Fade to Gold, as seen above, there are silver, copper, and burgundy pigments available.

Cheek Color in 3 Refillable Cheek Palette

This all-in-one palette includes a bronzer, blush, and highlighter to enhance your facial features with a side of glow. In comes in three colorways, all of which are refillable as a set or on their own.

Stiletto Refillable Demi-Matte Lipstick

Zara's slim lipstick offers the same level of pigment as your go-to matte, but the serum-inspired formula ensures it wears comfortably throughout the day. Along with this true red, there are nine other neutral and berry-inspired shades — all of which can be refilled.

Nail Polish

All 39 shades of Zara's nail polish are made with a high percentage of natural ingredients, but stay looking fresh for days like traditional formulas. Choose between matte, pearly, and glitter finishes. In our humble opinion, this cool sea blue is the perfect summer shade.
