Zendaya celebrates her new fashion line in all-white look after fending off plus-size complaints

Wednesday was a big day for Zendaya. The actress and singer added the title of fashion curator to her résumé with the launch of the Zendaya Edit for Boohoo, a spring-ready collection with prices starting at just $12.

It was only fitting, then, that the Greatest Showman star wore a Boohoo ensemble — which the brand says will be available to purchase soon — for the occasion. Before mingling with guests like Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, Jordyn Woods, and Storm Reid, Zendaya hit the red carpet in an all-white top and matching trousers with a belted waist and a sporty yellow racing stripe down the side.

The collection has been greeted with much fanfare, but there’s been some criticism too. As Teen Vogue reports, some shoppers tweeted at Zendaya that the sizing wasn’t “inclusive” enough. Though the pieces are billed as running up to size 20, a few “disappointed” customers noted that they couldn’t find the larger sizes.

The star took ownership of the issue by quickly stepping in and responding directly to one shopper. As it happens, the curve sizes were offered but promptly sold out. Boohoo, meanwhile, told customers that more stock would be added soon.

Speaking of fashion controversies, Zendaya’s personal stylist, Law Roach, recently called out the brands that wouldn’t work with his client in the past — specifically Valentino and Gucci. This tea is hot!
