Zendaya and Tom Holland Hit the Basketball Court for a Good Cause
Zendaya and Tom Holland are giving back to the community of Oakland.
The superstar couple were part of an event held in Zendaya's California hometown on Friday that opened a brand new basketball court for the community. In collaboration with Hoopbus and Project Backboard, Zendaya contributed to the new court built at Lowell Park.
Zendaya posted multiple photos and videos on her Instagram Story, with one announcing that the court is now open to the public. The actor's beloved boyfriend and Spider-Man himself also attended the event and suited up to play. Zendaya shared a photo of Holland walking off the court wearing a jersey.

Hoopbus also shared a video of Zendaya breaking in the new court by assisting on the “inaugural dunk.” She looked as joyful as ever throwing the ball up and being surrounded by cheers from attendees.
Holland also got a chance to usher in the new court by bouncing the ball off the glass for another dunk. The MC on the mic can be heard saying, “Spider-Man off the glass! The Spidey senses were working on that one."
Zendaya made a short speech in front of the actual Hoopbus — which is a school bus that was converted to include a basketball hoop on the front and the back. The actor said she wasn't going to be playing herself, joking that she didn't want to “twist an ankle.” The video was posted by @coachhawkinsumes, who captioned the post in part, “@zendaya & @tomholland2013 really had the kids so happy it was really incredible to see!!”
“I just came to say hi to all of you and see your beautiful faces,” Zendaya continued in her speech. “Let’s have a great time playing basketball.”
Zendaya has remained fairly private about her relationship with Holland and only gives rare glimpses of the two of them together, so seeing them at a charity event was heartwarming for fans.
The couple have been romantically linked since 2021 when paparazzi caught the two kissing in a car. This was after years of the two co-stars denying that they were together. The Dune actor recently opened up about trying to keep things private between her and Holland in a recent interview with Elle, but said she is going to “live my life and love the person I love.”
