15 Photos That Will Absolutely Destroy Your Brain Cells For A Full Calendar Year

Hello again, and welcome to our roundup of the most confusing photos we found on Reddit this week. Check out last week's if you missed it — and let's get right into it!

1.This is not a magical, floating tree. Where is the bottom of the trunk?

The tree just has a twisted trunk and the tent is perfectly covering it. You can see another angle here.

2.Where did the second "F" go in the shadow of this sign? I'm perplexed.

Sign reading "Toilets" points right; "Coffee" wall art creates shadow effect
u/BlessedFreedom101 / reddit.com

"It seems like the shadow for 'COF' comes from the light on the left, and the shadow for 'FEE' comes from the light on the right, and they are just happy to line up such that the two 'F's overlap very well. Looking at the angles, it doesn't seem crazy, but it is surprising that there isn't more double shadowing on the other letters. Looks like the F from 'COF' might also land on the first E of 'FEE.'"

3.Is this fire hydrant square or cylinder? It's a mind trick.

The shadow that is casting on it from the red pole makes it look square but it is just a regular cylinder-shaped hydrant!

4.You gotta look closely here. What is wrong with this photo?

There is a little raccoon, and it is standing on the fence. I am sure it is a perspective thing, but I don't understand how it is that tiny. Please explain in the comments!

5.From a tiny raccoon to an oversized pigeon. What is going on with this giant pigeon in the city?

"This picture makes it look fake, but that pigeon statue is real and it's amazing. Sits on the High Line near Chelsea."

6.Explain how big this space actually is. That is a normal-size beer.

u/That_Television_1553 / reddit.com

"It's a weird space. Basically a crawl space next to a ramp. Why anyone would build this is beyond me. There's enough room to sit cross-legged in there and not bump your head against the ceiling, but you can't stand up, and you can easily touch the ceiling while in a sitting position. Other than storage, I have no clue what you'd use this space for."

7.What is going on with this seemingly split-in-half tree?

The tree closer to whoever took the photo has actually been chopped. Where it was chopped happens to align with the sidewalk path and the tree on the other side of it.

8.Hold up — is this car really on fire?!

The Original Poster can shed some light: "I had an oil change and decided to get pizza right after. I looked at my car, terrified, until I realized it was the reflection of the pizza oven in the window."

9.Why was this crosswalk made with floating blocks of some sort?

It is a 3D crosswalk made in Iceland, but it seems kind of dangerous! It looks less scary in this video.

10.Why does this bird look like it is wearing sneakers?

u/Girlycle / reddit.com

It is behind glass, and the person looking at it has sneakers on that are reflecting in the window.

11.Why does this dog look like a hedgehog?

u/Godfather__007 / reddit.com

He is just camping out, sitting down like a blob! "He’s a husky. The owner probably tried to get him to come in, and he refused; they like the snow."

12.Where has this person's head gone?!

They are just looking really far down!

13.We know that is a cat. Explain where it is.

u/silvandeus / reddit.com

The cat is in the attic!

14.This is not a photoshopped, nor is it floating but why does it look like it is?

A leafless tree with a straight trunk stands in a grassy field near a road, surrounded by hills and bushes
u/BlG_DEE / reddit.com

The shrubs growing are perfectly covering the rest of the trunk.

15.And, finally, I am sorry to do this to you...but what is that thing next to this person's thigh?

JUST THEIR TOE!!!!! Phew.
