2023 Golden Globes: Editors' picks for best and worst dressed celebrities
Do you agree with our picks for the red carpet winners — and losers — of the night?
The 80th Golden Globe Awards have come and gone, but there’s two more awards to be handed out: Best and worst dressed.
After 2021's Golden Globe Awards were held virtually, and last year's event was entirely scaled back, there was a lot to look forward to when it came to 2023 Golden Globes red carpet fashion.
We’ve gathered our choices for some of the best and worst looks of the evening — scroll down to see our picks for the red carpet winners — and losers — of the night.
BEST: Jessica Chastain
Jessica Chastain called her beaded Oscar de la Renta gown (and matching face mask) "a modern version of an Old Hollywood Dress" — and our team couldn't get enough of the sparkling stunner.
WORST: Heidi Klum
The 49-year-old supermodel is known for her outrageous red carpet looks, but this feathered and sequinned number hit the wrong note.
BEST: Viola Davis
Despite the heavy California rains leading to a damp hemline, Viola Davis's ruched royal blue gown was still a favourite among the Yahoo Canada team.
WORST: Claire Danes
When it comes to red carpet fashion, sometimes less is more — as with Claire Danes's bow, feather and sequin-embellished gown.
BEST: Julia Garner
We were big fans of Golden Globe-winner Julia Garner's tiered Gucci gown, which featured delicate crystal strands throughout for a touch of sparkle.
WORST: Quinta Brunson
While Quinta Brunson's sunny personality is what makes her such a fan favourite on "Abbott Elementary," her two-toned dress left us wanting more.
BEST: Jennifer Coolidge
The "White Lotus" star's return to the red carpet was a hit among the Yahoo Canada team, thanks to her Old Hollywood-inspired hair and makeup, and a figure-hugging sequinned dress.
WORST: Jenny Slate
While we loved the vibrant green shade of Slate's gown, we couldn't get past its oversized floral neckline, or the drop earrings that competed for being the star of the outfit.
BEST: Tyler James Williams
When it comes to menswear on the red carpet, Tyler James Williams's risky fashion choice paid off, landing him on our best-dressed list.
WORST: Jenna Ortega
The "Wednesday" star's red carpet look left our editors split over whether we loved or hated this outfit, but in the end, the dress's cutout details and jagged hem couldn't win us over.
