Birkdale Village is filled with major retailers, small boutiques and activities, making it the perfect place to shop near Charlotte or spend a rainy day. But did you know there’s also many restaurants that call Birkdale Village home?
As the Lake Norman community continues to expand, Birkdale Village now has 20 different food and beverage options open within — with North Italia, Suffolk Punch Brewing and Foxcroft Wine Co. joining the ranks soon.
Here’s a guide to everywhere you can eat and drink in Birkdale Village, so you can make sense of all your options and start planning your next visit.
Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar
Fan-favorite burger chain Bad Daddy’s, which started right here in Charlotte in 2007, has a location at Birkdale Village. Try its signature Bad A** burger next time you visit, which has two five-ounce beef patties, American cheese, buttermilk fried bacon, horseradish mayo, lettuce, tomato and pickle.
Bartaco
Bartaco is a new addition to Birkdale Village that opened in February. It’s the perfect place to grab specialty margaritas, delicious tacos and fresh guacamole after a long day of shopping.

Bonefish Grill
This national chain provides seafood like salmon, lobster and cod to Birkdale Village. If you’re not into seafood, Bonefish Grill also has meat options like chicken marsala, steak and burgers, as well as lots of tasty desserts.
Brixx Wood Fired Pizza
Brixx Wood Fired Pizza has locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia — and one of them is in Birkdale Village. The restaurant values quality and integrity when it comes to making its woodfired pizza and accommodates many dietary restrictions with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free menu items.
Brown Bag Seafood Co.
Brown Bag Seafood Co. has a mission to bring fresh seafood to the masses. At all its locations, including Birkdale Village, your seafood is approved by Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch, which means it’s certified sustainable. Plus, on Tuesdays, you can get $3 beers with purchase of tacos and on Wednesdays enjoy $4 wine with purchase of an entree. On Thursdays, all truffle tater tots are just $2.
Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop
If you need a sweet treat for you or the family, Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop is a must stop in Birkdale Village. With flavors like Southern custard, coconut cream, chocolate cream, key lime, and pecan, and sizes available in mini or family, there’s something for everyone at this locally-owned location of the pie shop chain.
Cava
Cava is a fast-casual Mediterranean food chain. Customize your bowl or pita with the proteins, dips and toppings you love, or try one of its chef-curated meals like the harissa avocado bowl or crispy falafel pita.
The Cheesecake Factory
The Cheesecake Factory is known for having a menu as long as a book, which makes it the perfect place to take families or large groups in Birkdale Village. With more than 250 menu options, you can choose among appetizers, seafood, pastas, burgers and more — then, of course, finish your meal with a slice of cheesecake.
eeZ
Find sashimi, nigiri, classic rolls and specialty rolls to satisfy your sushi craving at eeZ in Birkdale Village. This locally-owned restaurant has bento boxes for kids and customizable stir fry options for adults, making it the perfect place for a family meal.
Fin & Fino
Originally opened in uptown Charlotte in 2018, Fin & Fino expanded to Birkdale Village in February. This restaurant is a social seafood house offering a raw bar, pastas, fish and meats in an upscale environment. If you can’t decide what to get here, opt for “The Treatment,” which costs $70 per person and lets your server take you on a tasting tour of the entire menu.

Foxcroft Wine Co.
As if all those options weren’t enough, Birkdale Village has some exciting new tenants coming soon – one of them being Foxcroft Wine Co, which is opening its sixth location at Birkdale Village in May. At Foxcroft Wine Co, you’ll find an extensive wine list, small plates and signature entrees.
Green Brothers Juice Co.
If you want a fresh, healthy and quick option while exploring Birkdale Village, try out Green Brothers Juice Co. Another locally-owned restaurant, Green Brothers has superfood juices, smoothies and acai bowls on the menu. Or, you can pick up pre-packaged smoothie blends to bring Green Brothers home.
The Kilted Buffalo
Think of The Kilted Buffalo as your resident neighborhood sports bar in Birkdale Village. Stop by to grab a beer, watch a game, or play one of its various pub games like tabletop shuffleboard and cornhole.
Kilwins
The smell of Kilwins’ freshly made chocolate, fudge and waffle cones will quickly entice you into its doors. After dining at one of Birkdale Village’s other restaurants, Kilwins is a great spot to finish your evening with something sweet. Everything is delicious, but its caramel apples, truffles and homemade brittles are particularly mouthwatering.
Kung Fu Noodle
For banh mi sandwiches, street food bites, stir fry noodles, sushi, rice bowls and bubble tea, head to Kung Fu Noodle in Birkdale Village. This Asian fusion bistro offers tasty dishes in a sleek environment that can be a date night or family outing spot.
Midwood Smokehouse
Midwood Smokehouse has multiple locations around Charlotte, with its Huntersville spot making a home in Birkdale Village. Not only is the barbecue delicious, but this Midwood Smokehouse location has specials almost every day of the week. Depending on the day you visit, you’ll find discounted mules, margaritas, wine, beer and mimosas to go with your meal.
Morelia Gourmet Paletas
Morelia serves handmade paletas, which are Mexican ice pops. The owners of this shop discovered paletas while living in Brazil, then traveled around Brazil, Argentina and Peru to get the best training possible to bring these delicious treats to Charlotte and beyond. When you visit Morelia in Birkdale Village, you pick your flavor, dip and topping of choice to make for a completely customizable ice pop.
North Italia
Italian chain restaurant North Italia will be opening its third Charlotte-based location in Birkdale Village soon. Once the restaurant opens, you can enjoy Italian classics like pizzas, pastas, tiramisu and even grab a family meal.
Red Rocks Cafe
Red Rocks Cafe is a locally owned restaurant with three locations in the Charlotte area – SouthPark, Indian Land and Birkdale Village. Visit Red Rocks at dinnertime for premium steaks, rich pastas and fresh seafood, or join the restaurant for its signature Sunday brunch.
Starbucks
Many shopping plazas across the country have a Starbucks location within, and Birkdale Village is no exception. Fuel up for your day of shopping, activities and dining with a Starbucks coffee, frappuccino, tea, pastry or sandwich.
The Suffolk Punch
One of Charlotte’s favorite breweries is opening its third location in Birkdale Village soon. Just like at the South End and SouthPark locations, at the Birkdale Village Suffolk Punch location you’ll be able to get a variety of beers, wines, cocktails and food.
Sugar + Ice
You’re in for a treat with a stop at Sugar + Ice because it specializes in gourmet mini donuts, shaved ice and a wide variety of specialty drinks. Try the “Almost Heaven,” which is cinnamon sugar donuts with cookie butter cream and cookie crumbles for something sweet, or the “Lemon Love,” which is lemon sugar donuts with lemon curd and lemon crumbles for something a bit more fruity.
TCBY
No shopping trip is complete without a little frozen yogurt, and at Birkdale Village you can get your fix at TCBY. Build your own frozen yogurt creation from flavors like chocolate, strawberry, butter pecan, cake batter and golden vanilla. Then, add all the toppings your heart desires, with options like brownie bites, blueberries, marshmallows, Snickers and more.
