Awards season, we barely knew you — and that might be because this time around, everything seemed to be condensed into a sprint to the finish line. But, with critics and fans alike heralding the return of cinema with Barbie and Oppenheimer, movies and their stars are now getting the credit they deserve. Every year, the season concludes with the crown jewel of shows: the Academy Awards. And after a whirlwind of shows like the Emmys, Grammys, and Golden Globes, it's time to sit back and see who takes home the biggest prizes.

Industry publications predicted that the cast of Barbie, Poor Things, and Killers of the Flower Moon would dominate the nominations after strong showings at the Critics Choice Awards and the Globes. However, there are always surprises in the mix and this year proved to be no different, with America Ferrera scoring a Best Supporting Actress nod for Barbie and Greta Lee from Past Lives being left off the Best Actress list.

The 96th Academy Awards will be held at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, Mar. 10, and air on ABC. See the full list of nominations, below.
