The 2025 Wedding Color of the Year Is Here! All About 'Punchy, Perky' Verona Sunset!
The color, selected by Brides and Minted, is being praised for its versatility as a soon-to-be newlywed favorite for 2025
It's time to get the invitations ready — Brides and Minted Weddings have officially unveiled the wedding color of 2025!
On Thursday, Oct. 3, the publication and premium design marketplace of wedding goods teamed up to reveal Verona Sunset as their 2025 wedding color of the year, taking the title from 2024's Marseille Bleu.
The latest color to hold the honor, described by Brides as a "punchy, perky orange," is named after the Italian city of Verona — which is fitting with the growing popularity of destination weddings and the city having served as the setting for Romeo and Juliet, per the outlet.
The popularity of Italian aperitivi (such as the Aperol Spritz) also played a role in the decision, too.
Brides boasts the color as the perfect complement to classic wedding white, lavender and green, as well as able to shine in both all-orange applications and paired with black. To show its many applications in action, Brides tapped three wedding planners to make Verona Sunset mood boards, rounded up some Verona Sunset fashion, décor and food and drink concepts.
The outlet also shared a travel guide to the city of Verona, which Dr. Terika L. Haynes, the founder of Dynamite Travel, says is known as a hotspot for local dishes as a wellness destination, among other things.
"Whether you’re strolling through its cobbled streets, relaxing in one of its charming squares, sampling its delicious cuisine, or simply watching the sunset paint the city in a golden hue, you’ll appreciate all the ‘City of Love’ has to offer,” Haynes told Brides.
Verona Sunset's new title couldn't come at a better time, either. Stationery orders with orange in the color palette have increased threefold in the last year, Brides also reports, citing Minted.

The statement-making color takes the color-of-the-year title from Marseille Bleu, which itself was named after the French coastal city of Marseille.
While Marseille Bleu was described last year as a "dynamic, lively shade" that "can read classic or modern, feminine or masculine, wintry or summery," its successor is also touted by Brides as being "surprisingly versatile" and a color that is able to work in multiple settings and paired with different colors.
