President Biden vacationed at this $21M SC beach house for sale. Take a look

If you’d like to live at a luxury beach estate that’s good enough for a sitting president, then this South Carolina home is the ticket.

You just need a cool $21 million.

Located at 133 Flyway Dr. on Kiawah Island, the three-story home is listed by Kiawah Island Real Estate. It’s owned by Maria Allwin, widow of hedge fund founder James Allwin.

Notably, President Joe Biden vacationed at the luxury estate briefly in the summer of 2022, according to the New York Post. The Bidens previously stayed at the mansion as early as 2009, when Biden was still vice president, the publication adds.

The listing shows that the 10,500 square-foot estate has nine bedrooms, nine bathrooms and offers breathtaking views with 200 feet-worth of Atlantic Ocean frontage. A private boardwalk leads to the beach and an expansive, salt-chlorinated pool with a large cabana by the sea.

The home features floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors, a standing-seam copper roof with twin copper-capped chimneys, cedar siding, limestone stairways and piazzas, a contemplation garden in the rear, an outdoor kitchen and more.

Inside is a floor plan suited for family gatherings and wide scale entertaining.

“Wowing all who enter is the great room, breathtaking in its scale and two-and-a-half stories of floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the waves of the Atlantic Ocean,” the listing states. “Twin fireplaces cap each side of the vast space, a barrel vault ceiling of sea blue above is awash in natural light along with whimsical cove lighting, and four sets of glass doors open to the wide rear terrace.”

It opens to an airy kitchen with a breakfast bar, granite and solid-surface countertops, stainless steel appliances, a professional cooktop and more.

The estate’s dining room is accessed through a foyer and a windowed hallway to the kitchen. It features a fireplace, built-in maple cabinetry, crown molding and expansive windows.

In the west wing, visitors will find an oceanfront study with sun-filled windows on two sides, a fireplace, built-in cabinetry, glass doors that open to the rear terrace and a full bath. Through a foyer is the estate’s first two guest suites, which accommodates king-sized beds.

Use the home’s elevator or staircase to reach the second floor gallery that overlooks the great room.

The primary suite consists of the entire east wing on this level. A French-doored entrance foyer includes a built-in window bench. Surround sound adds a layer of music to the suite. And glass doors lead to a private columned balcony with a vaulted wood-clad ceiling.
