5 Radnor Nonprofits To Support This Holiday Season
RADNOR, PA — If you’re like many of your Radnor neighbors, you may spend a good part of the holiday season with your credit card in hand buying gifts for family and friends. Coming up soon is a chance to give back to the local community.
Giving Tuesday, which in 2024 falls on Dec. 3, is a day dedicated to supporting nonprofit and community groups. Since 2012, nonprofits worldwide have used the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to galvanize fundraising, rally volunteers and add momentum to their causes.
Maintaining funding is a constant challenge for many nonprofits that fill gaps and meet other needs in the Radnor area.
Here are five local nonprofits to consider getting behind on Giving Tuesday:
Radnor Educational Foundation — The Radnor Educational Foundation aims to enrich curriculum and shape innovative programs amid increasing state educational costs and tighter district budgets in the Radnor Township School District.
Radnor Conservancy — The Radnor Conservancy works to preserve and enhance local open spaces and natural assets.
Wayne Senior Center — The Wayne Senior Center provides local adults 55 and older with programming and meals, as well as connects them with crucial resources.
Women's Resource Center — The Women's Resource Center helps women and girls successfully navigate life transitions and to inspire others to do the same by providing resources, tools and support.
Wayne Food Pantry — The Wayne Food Pantry is the only food pantry in Radnor Township, serving more than 70 families weekly since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
