54th Street Grill & Bar in Shiloh temporarily closes. Here’s why and when it will reopen
In case you were wondering what’s going on at 54th Street Scratch Grill & Bar in Shiloh, I have some info.
I got word from a source (who I like to call “Dad,” because, well, he’s my dad) that the “neighborhood rumor” is the restaurant is closed for a remodel.
After a visit to the location, I can confirm that this is indeed the case.
Construction is currently underway at 3140 Green Mount Crossing Drive. Signage in the window states that “significant improvements” are coming with an estimated reopening date of Nov. 25.
The Shiloh location is not the first to undergo a makeover.
Restaurants in Glen Carbon, Chesterfield, Missouri, and South County, Missouri, were remodeled earlier this year.
The Kansas City Star reported in March 2021 that the Zona Rosa location in Kansas City, Missouri, underwent a $2 million renovation. The project included the addition of 12-foot garage doors and a 10,000-square-foot outdoor courtyard with pickleball courts, golf simulators, fire pits and other amenities.
The Zona Rosa location was also rebranded 54th Street Restaurant & Drafthouse.
Other remodeled locations do not have the same exterior additions. Images of the South County location, which reopened Oct. 12, are posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
Changes include the addition of multiple flatscreen TVs, a new bar and new tables and chairs.
Similar images appeared on the Glen Carbon location’s Facebook page when it reopened post-remodel in April.
