This $7.7 Million Colorado Home Gives a Modern Spin to Rocky Mountain Style
Aspen, Vail, and Telluride are Colorado’s most expensive cities for real estate, but Boulder home prices are on the rise. According to a recent report, the average luxury home price spiked from around $5.89 million to upwards of $8 million.
This $7.7 million home in the Park Lake community certainly reflects this uptick. Located at 8802 Lakeside Court, the home was built in 1976 and underwent a down-to-the-studs renovation in 2008 to create a modern mansion inspired by the surrounding mountain and set up for those who love to relax and entertain, perhaps after a long day hiking or biking in the nearby foothills or kayaking on the local lake.

Home of the Week: Inside a Stylish Upstate New York Hideaway That Exudes Bohemian Charm
Situated on a flat 1.6-acre parcel, the just shy of 7,500-square-foot home has five bedrooms and six bathrooms. The clean-lined stone and concrete facade provides a more contemporary take on a typical Colorado mountain home. Inside, there’s an open-plan, double-height great room housing the living area, dining room, and kitchen. There’s plenty of wall space for avid art collectors to showcase large-format pieces, as well as built-in shelving and a bridged walkway over the living and dining areas. Huge windows flood the room with natural light. Off the great room is the professionally equipped chef’s kitchen, which has a massive center island and a secondary island with built-in seating.
Bedrooms are upstairs. The primary suite includes a spa-like bathroom and a bonus room that’s well suited as a yoga studio or study. There’s also a sunny terrace with picture-perfect mountain and lake views
Elsewhere are a home office, gym, media room, mud/dog room, three-car garage with a dog wash, and a small barn. There’s even an attached guest wing with its own private patio. Outside, you can take advantage of Colorado’s sunny summers with the sparkling pool, hot tub, and outdoor kitchen. There’s an automated pergola for inclement weather and ample lawn space. Direct access to a small lake allows for kayaking or paddleboarding.
Boulder is highly sought-after for its proximity to downtown Denver and the international airport. Plus, it is within reasonable driving distance to nearby mountain towns for avid skiers. The home is listed by Lynn Ryan of milehimodern in Boulder.
