There's a lot at stake for Michigan voters, considering the state is one of the seven key swing states that could help decide the 2024 presidential election. For many, though, their most pressing concern? Getting a coveted werewolf "I Voted" sticker. Before the polls even opened, Western Michigan's Ottawa County Election Supervisor Katie Bard told local news station Fox 17, "We probably get five calls a day at our office just about this. And I know our locals are also getting a lot of calls." Demand is so high for the "unhinged" drawing, which is one of 4 million unique stickers, along with other winning designs, being distributed to the 7.2 million active registered voters, that a single sticker is even being sold on eBay for $36, WGRD 97.9 reports.
Jane Hynous, 12, of Grosse Pointe, drew the werewolf ripping off its shirt in front of an American flag. She based her work on a meme and, according to the New York Times, “didn’t want to do something that usually you think of when you think of Michigan." Her sketch is one of nine chosen works from Michigan's sticker design contest, which was held in the spring and received 57,700 public votes, according to the Michigan Department of State. Another winner, 10-year-old Katelyn Stouffer-Hopkins, created the "I'm Cool I Voted" sticker. "It made me feel incredibly happy because I made this," the elementary schooler told Fox 17 of getting selected from the 480 submissions. "My friends at school know that I'm famous."
Michigan's contest went viral, yet it's not the first kid-designed sticker to make headlines. A surreal-looking purple spider sticker, courtesy of the Ulster County, N.Y., competition, made the internet lol during the 2022 midterm elections. There's also Kentucky's "Lizard Man," which lost to a horse illustration.
Contests like these are held throughout the United States to inspire young people to engage in the democratic process — and make it fun for all. From a smiling cat giving a thumbs-up to a llama wearing rainbow sunglasses, here are some of the best Election Day stickers.
STORY: :: All six voters of a tiny New Hampshire town gather to cast the first votes of the U.S. election ::November 5, 2024 ::Dixville Notch, New Hampshire :: Kamala Harris and Donald Trump received three votes each in a reflection of the tight race this year ::Annmarie Pintal, Dixville Notch voter "I think New Hampshire is a purple state, and I think it's very divided." ::Leslie Otten, Dixville Notch voter “I have been a Republican most of my life, but I find myself in conflict with the Republican Party at this time. So as an American, I pledge allegiance to the flag. I pledge allegiance to the Bill of Rights, to the Constitution, to the laws of our country. I don't pledge allegiance to the president.” At midnight, the town's six registered voters gathered at the Tillotson Room of the Balsams Resort to cast the first votes on Election Day. Residents have cast the first ballots here for the last 60 years. In the 2020 election, only five residents cast their vote in this small community located in the northern White Mountains near the Canadian border. New Hampshire state law allows towns, or unincorporated communities like Dixville Notch to open their polls at midnight and close them shortly after only if they can prove that everyone who wanted to vote was able to. This year's vote in Dixville Notch was notable, with a tie between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, each receiving three votes.
A Republican Trump voter stunned Fox & Friends Tuesday morning when he told the conservative morning chat show that he believes Kamala Harris is going to win North Carolina in the presidential election. The show sent the co-host of its weekend edition, Will Cain, out to a diner in Concord, North Carolina that was packed with MAGA diehards optimistic about the prospects of former president Donald Trump. When Cain asked everyone present to raise their hand if they thought the Republican nominee wa
There could be positive signs for Kamala Harris in the quaint New Hampshire town of Dixville Notch, which traditionally votes first in the nation at a few minutes after midnight. The result was still a tie, and it’s way too early to draw any firm conclusions, but out of the tiny voting pool of six people, four were registered as Republicans and just two as Democrats. One of the Republicans switched sides to vote for the VP. Harris will hope that she can repeat the trick and win over hundreds of

Former New Jersey governor and GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie said he would “bet about five bucks” on Vice President Harris winning the presidential election during an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. “I’d bet about five bucks on Harris today. On the night before Election Day, at campaign events across the country, celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga and Jon Bon Jovi turned out in force for Kamala Harris ' presidential bid.
As Donald Trump makes his last pitch to voters on the eve of Election Day, the GOP presidential nominee’s supporters are failing to show up en masse at his campaign events. The former president, who has spent months boasting about his crowd sizes and MAGA enthusiasm, struggled to pack the seats of his final rallies, despite claiming otherwise. Trump’s multi-stop trip to North Carolina began with rows of empty seats at his rally at the Dorton Arena in Raleigh. The former president, taking the sta
Donald Trump is refusing to say how he voted on Florida's abortion measure — and getting testy about it. The former president was asked twice after casting his ballot in Palm Beach, Florida, on Tuesday about a question that the state's voters are considering. If approved, it would prevent state lawmakers from passing any law that penalizes, prohibits, delays or restricts abortion until fetal viability — which doctors say is sometime after 21 weeks.
