A24 To Screen Classic Films in IMAX for First Time

A24 has joined forces with IMAX for a monthly screening of some of its fan-favorite films. The series will enlist over 300 IMAX theaters across the US to deliver the immersive, high-resolution experience.

Kicking off on Wednesday, March 27, the inaugural film will be Alex Garland’s 2015 sci-fi flick Ex Machina.

A film from A24’s catalog will be shown on a select Wednesday each month for a year after. April 24 will draw in fans and first-time watchers alike for a Ari Aster’s Hereditary screening and May 22 will pay homage to the Safdie brothers’ Uncut Gems.

All of the films in the series have been shown in IMAX prior. A24 hasn’t yet shared the roster for screenings after May but will be keeping fans updated throughout the next year.

Friday, March 15, marked the release of the film studio’s latest flick, Love Lies Bleeding. Starring Kristen Stewart and Katy O'Brian, the movie centers on the relationship between a gym manager and an aspiring bodybuilder amid the backdrop of crime and family ties.
