ACS Partners With Archive to Pioneer Resale Channels for The North Face, Pangaia

Archive, the branded resale platform, said it has teamed up with Advanced Clothing Solutions, or ACS, which is a circular and sustainable fashion fulfillment hub based in the U.K. Through the partnership, the companies said they’ll offer apparel, footwear, outdoor and luxury brands’ cleaning and repair as well as fulfillment of secondhand items via a resale marketplace.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The companies said with the collaboration, “ACS will utilize Archive’s resale operations technology to maximize profitability and efficiency for brands embracing circular business models,” and added that the first brands in the U.K. to participate include The North Face and Pangaia.

Emily Gittins, chief executive officer and cofounder of Archive, praised the partnership and its ability to “enable brands to easily adopt and scale circular business models in the U.K. “They are true leaders and innovators with a passion for transforming the fashion industry, and we look forward to deepening our partnership over time,” Gittins said.

Andrew Rough, CEO of ACS, said the partnership “marks a pivotal moment in our resale journey. We consider this to be a game-changer for the U.K. fashion sector and we look forward to what we’ll be able to achieve together. Together with the team at Archive, we anticipate that we will onboard other fashion brands who wish to enter the pre-loved resale market in the U.K., which is growing quickly.“

Archive said in a statement that its platform “ingests a brand’s product data to accurately identify, condition, photograph, price, clean, repair (if needed), list for sale and fulfill items on a branded resale marketplaces.” The company also said resale products can be routed for recycling or donation.

“Archive’s technology is customized for each individual brand to ensure healthy margins and to adhere to brand guidelines,” the company said.
