Addison Rae and Kendall Jenner Prove There's a New Fall Blonde Hair Color in Town

Going blonde is typically reserved for the beginning of summer, but some of our faves are flipping the script and bleaching their hair lighter for fall — namely, Addison Rae and Kendall Jenner, who were golden-haired twins at the 2024 Academy Museum Gala.

Instead of dyeing their hair auburn or deep brunette, both Jenner and Rae have chosen bright blonde tones to welcome the fall. Jenner debuted her blonde transformation during New York Fashion Week, while Rae unveiled hers on the gala red carpet. While icy white platinum blonde was the go-to blonde for much of the late 2010s and early 2020s, 2024 has been all about golden, buttery shades that warm up the complexion and simply glow on the red carpet, and both Rae and Jenner's blonde tones are perfectly on trend — not to mention super similar, and gorgeous on each star.

Addison Rae made the most of her red carpet moment in a stunning blue lace Alberta Ferretti gown with sheer, peekaboo details and a tiered skirt, ending in a small train. Her hair was no longer brunette, but now a shiny, warm honey blonde. The actor and singer wore it long and loose, styled in classic Old Hollywood-inspired waves, and wore minimal makeup and jewelry for the event so her new hair color could shine.

Jenner also went with an Old Hollywood vibe for the red carpet, pairing her strappy black velvet Schiaparelli gown with a side-parted bob styled in Marilyn Monroe-esque starlet curls. Jenner also kept her makeup light and soft, with delicately blushed cheeks, lush lashes, and a barely there pink lip color, plus an ultra-minimal manicure.

If you're still deciding on your fall and winter hair color plans, Jenner and Rae definitely made a compelling case for going blonde to warm up the cooler months. You don't even need an invite to a super fancy gala!
