There are a few things that should be left alone and one of them is a very tense A-lister watching a nail-biting game of football. Case in point: Adele, who was in the audience at England's match against the Netherlands in Dortmund last night.

In fact, so tense was this particular Tottenham-born A-lister that clips of her reacting to Harry Kane's penalty, have, rather inevitably, gone viral on social media with users hailing her for shouting 'shut up' to the crowd as they watched the team's captain score a penalty within the game's first half.

Prince William went viral for his theatrical reaction to England winning their quarter-final match against Switzerland on penalties, with his reaction becoming a meme widely-spread across social media. Shortly after the match had finished, the heir to the throne then shared a message to the Instagram account he shares with his wife, Kate Middleton. 'Nail biting to the very end. Well done @England! Semi-finals here we come! We believe.' The tweet, as has been his family's habit, was simply signed 'W.'
