This Adorable Mini Lowe’s Find Is Only $1 (People Are Buying 10 at a Time!)

If you’re a DIYer with a love of all things crafts, or you take pride in how handy you are, chances are that Lowe’s might be a frequent shopping destination. The hardware chain is a jack-of-all-trades, with an inventory ranging from paint brushes and plants to giant Halloween yard decorations and spooky decor. However, according to major Lowe’s shopping pros, one of the brand’s best buys is a mini $1 gem that can be used for so many different things — from party favors to daily-life catchalls.

For just 98 cents, you can score a truly adorable tiny 0.5-quart blue paint bucket with a metal handle and Lowe’s logo in white on the front. The BPA-free plastic container can hold two cups of liquid, making it not so ideal for painting a room — but perfect for a myriad of other uses.

Unsurprisingly, TikTok is a treasure trove of ways people have creatively used the mini Lowe’s buckets if you need some inspiration. After TikToker @AlyshaHey shared a video joking she’d gotten “goosebumps everywhere” after discovering the pint-sized containers at her local Lowe’s store, her comments section was flooded with suggestions showing just how versatile this product is — and some folks saying they were buying 10 at a time.

Many people said that they used the adorable containers for a mini gift basket, a Christmas stocking stuffer, or party favors that you can fill with candy (the creator shared that hers were full of “mini Reese’s right now”), gift cards, birthday cards, or even Halloween treats. One person suggested using it for a construction-themed birthday party, and putting “tool-shaped sugar cookies in the buckets” for guests.

Others said they swore by the containers for holding their pens or paint brushes, as there’s no lid on top (although one savvy follower said they were able to fit a Tervis lid on top to make it a sippy cup). In the same vein, you could use the mini Lowe’s paint buckets to store your makeup brushes, toothbrushes, or anything that you want to store in one (very cute) container.

Meanwhile, some people leaned into the idea that the mini bucket is basically a mug with a handle by using it to serve cocktails and coffee, while plant parents said they used the adorable canisters as makeshift pots for their plants (although you may need to drill a hole in the bottom for drainage).

Unsurprisingly, many Lowe’s shoppers love how versatile these containers are — so much so that 10,000 of these wee buckets were bought the week of Oct. 7, according to Lowe’s website. Unfortunately, whether or not you can buy the buckets online depends on your location — some zip codes are sold out for pick up or delivery, while other zip codes are not. If they are sold out where you are, you can enter your email to be notified when they’re back in stock or head to your local Lowe’s to check to see if they’re available. In the meantime, you can brainstorm how to repurpose these adorable Lowe’s buckets for your own space.

Outside of these individuals, everyone else has to use the IRA over a ten-year period. "During that ten-year period, they have to take annual distributions based upon their life expectancy and then clean out the balance of the IRA in year number ten. If the IRA owner has died and has not reached that required beginning date, there's still a ten-year payout period, but you don't have to take any money out in year one through nine if you don't want to," he adds.
