It’s hard to believe that just two months ago, I was deep in the trenches of the college classroom. Looking back, I can’t believe just how much I tackled in my day-to-day schedule, on top of having to take care of myself.

Most days, I’d come back to my cozy (yet falling apart) college house so late in the evening that making dinner, even a ridiculously simple 2-ingredient meal, was the last thing on my agenda. But heating up pizza rolls night after night is no way to live—and that’s why I found this holy grail of a product from Aldi. And I never looked back.

Aldi Rotisserie Style Pulled Chicken Is My Secret Weapon for Super Easy Dinners

Now, I know it’s not a brand new idea to utilize shredded chicken to get dinner on the table faster, but I like to go the extra mile and buy pre-shredded chicken. Call me lazy, but I just don’t have time to sit and pull apart a whole rotisserie chicken.

It might be a little more expensive to buy it pre-shredded, but to me, the payoff is well worth it—and according to my research, other Aldi fanatics agree. In a recent Reddit thread, commenters praised it as a convenient add-in for easy dinners.

“I use this to make white bean chicken chili and low carb quesadillas,” one user wrote.

“I use it for soup! It’s perfect,” wrote another.

Delicious Dinners To Make with Aldi Rotisserie Style Pulled Chicken

The container of Aldi Rotisserie Style Pulled Chicken is 16-ounces and typically lasts me about a week and a half. Here are the college student-approved dinners I typically threw together when I was an undergrad (and still do):

  • Mac and Cheese with Chicken: Another Aldi product I swear by is the Specially Selected Smoked Gouda Macaroni & Cheese, and my favorite thing to do is throw some shredded chicken on top along with some breadcrumbs.

  • Broccoli Chicken Divan: When I had time on the weekends, I loved to make a big meal so I could eat it throughout the week. One of my favorite (and the easiest) meals I found was this broccoli casserole. It's so easy to throw together, and the leftovers are just as delicious.

  • Chicken Flavored Rice with Shredded Chicken: I go crazy for any rice or pasta dish, and the packets of rice from the grocery store take about 10 minutes to prepare. I like to toss in a bunch of shredded chicken to bulk it up a little more.

  • Shredded Chicken 'Quesadillas’: Okay, these aren’t really quesadillas, but they’re not too far off. This was my favorite throw-together meal for days when I couldn’t be bothered to actually cook. I would heat up a tortilla and some chicken, put the chicken on the tortilla, toss on some cheese and hot sauce, roll it up, and boom! Dinner is served!
