Ale-8-One releasing limited edition soda featuring blend of two summer flavors
Winchester based Ale-8-One is releasing a special edition of its popular soda that will feature a blend of two summer flavors.
The new limited edition flavor of the Kentucky soda brand, titled StrawMelon Ale-8, is a, “farm to flavor celebration of the natural splendors of our local agriculture and the hard-working people that cultivate sweet summer treats,” Ale-8-One Chief Marketing Officer Kevin Price said in a press release. You can buy the soda when it starts hitting the shelves as early as July 15 at participating stores in Kentucky and surrounding states.
People interested in trying the summertime flavor are encouraged to check Ale-8-One’s website at ale8one.com to find participating retailers. Price said Ale-8-One doesn’t give projections for longevity anymore, but they do think it will sell out fast.
“The seasonal flavor combination is a tribute to Ale-8’s marriage of ginger and citrus with a refreshing blend of Bluegrass farming staples strawberry and watermelon,” Ale-8-One said in the press release.
To promote the new flavor, the soda maker is hosting free tasting events throughout the summer. Local restaurants, stores and farmer’s markets will participate in planned events, including:

What limited edition special flavors does Ale-8-One have?
This is the third time this year Ale-8-One has released a special flavor of its soda. In April the soda company re-released a limited supply of its popular peach flavor before doing the same thing with its blackberry flavor one month later.
Ale-8-One has also previously featured special limited edition flavors of orange cream, cherry and the company’s founding flavor, Roxa Kola.
Cherry and orange cream are now a part of Ale-8-One’s regular production line, along with the original Ale-8-One, Ale-8 Zero Sugar, Cherry Ale-8 Zero Sugar, Heritage Ale-8 and Caffeine Free Ale-8 Zero Sugar.
