Amanda Seyfried powered through a wardrobe malfunction at the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday evening.

To walk the red carpet, "The Dropout" star wore an archival Dior gown styled by Elizabeth Stewart. The design was cut from a single piece of gold lamé chiffon.

Seyfried accessorized the glitzy, off-the-shoulder frock with a gold and blue necklace and matching earrings by Cartier jewelry and metallic Stuart Weitzman heels. The actress styled her hair in a low ponytail and topped off her look with a gold manicure and bright red lipstick.

Despite the 37-year-old's jaw-dropping look, not all was as it seems — the dress kept "breaking."

"Yeah it's old. It keeps breaking. I'm not kidding, it keeps ripping. It's actually like breaking," the star said during a red carpet interview with Access Hollywood.

She went on to joke: "I'm just gonna take off my dress. I'm just gonna take it off, it keeps ripping. It's fine, it's fine. It literally is. It's fine. Honestly, it's old! It's beautiful!"

The actress went on to win best actress in a limited series or movie made for television for her performance as Elizabeth Holmes in the hit Hulu series — which she accepted wearing the dress.

However, it appeared that the wardrobe malfunction got the best of her — she later put a coat on to cover the damage while on stage to accept the award for best limited series.

Earlier in the night, Seyfried said the look made her feel like a million bucks.

"It's a statue dress so if I don't get one, at least I look like one," she quipped.

Despite the dress's issues, fans loved Seyfried's look and took to Twitter to express their love.

"She looks beautiful in archival Dior and Cartier," a fan tweeted.

"Well I’m spellbound at how gorgeous Amanda Seyfried's hair is tonight," shared someone else.

"Amanda Seyfried looks like a goddess in this Dior haute couture," added another.

"What the heck! That's crazy! But you look amazing anyway!" wrote a Twitter user.

This isn't the first time that Seyfried has endured a fashion emergency.

For the virtual 2021 Golden Globes, the mother-of-one's glam featured a coral Dolce & Gabbana dress with ruffled sleeves, which Seyfried told E! put her in a "sunny, springy and glamorous" mood.

However, it caused quite the stir when she found out her designer gown was stuck in New Jersey for 36 hours before getting sent to Georgia where the actress was tuning in from, almost causing the frock to not arrive on time.
