Amanda Seyfried Watched the Emmys at Home in a Custom Creation Designed By Her 6-Year-Old Daughter
Fashion runs in the family.
Amanda Seyfried won big at the 2022 Emmys (more on that later), so the star decided to take a year off from attending this year's awards ceremony. But, that didn't stop her from having a fabulous custom-made dress for Monday's event designed by an up-and-coming designer: Seyfried's 6-year-old daughter, Nina.
On Monday, the Mean Girls alumna posted an image to her Instagram Story in honor of the 2023 Emmys, which took place in Los Angeles last night because of last year's dual Hollywood strikes. The actress did not attend the ceremony this year. However, she still got festive for the occasion. Seyfried posed with her hands on her hips while wearing a white minidress adorned with lace embellishments and makeshift fringe that hung off the skirt. The one-of-a-kind creation was fashioned by her daughter Nina, who Seyfried credited in her caption.

"Celebrating the Emmy's with a handmade creation by a six year old," she wrote alongside the photo. Seyfried appeared to go makeup-free and accessorized with only a smattering of rings.
Last year, Seyfried dressed to win in a strapless pink bedazzled column dress with a sculptural fishnet detail along the neckline. And win she did: Seyfried took home the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie award for her portrayal of Elizabeth Holmes in The Dropout. Even though her kids were less involved at the 2022 Emmys (her gown was designed by Armani Privé instead of her daughter), Seyfried gave them a quick shoutout during her acceptance speech.
"And last but not least, [thank you to] my family," she said. "Hi, bubs, you gotta go to bed now, but thanks!"
"Thank you to my family, my mom, my husband, my dad, and my kids, and my dog, Finn," she continued. "Thanks so much."
Seyfried later revealed that her daughter was moved to tears by her mom's win. "My daughter actually cried, because she was confused how I spoke to her through the TV and so I called her," she told reporters, according to People. "She was supposed to be in bed. She's going to school tomorrow! I didn't expect that to be the reaction."
