It's no secret that the reigning article of clothing in our 2021 wardrobe has been activewear - particularly leggings. For many people still working from home or attending school virtually, leggings have been an essential and integral staple in the WFH uniform.
Despite wearing leggings for days (weeks? months?) at a time, some of the most popular brands of activewear can sometimes charge upwards of $100 per pair. Luckily, there are affordable option - including the MapleFit High Waist Yoga Pants, which have seen a 550,000 per cent spike in sales on Amazon Canada.

What are they?
MapleFit's High Waist Yoga Pants are made from moisture wicking fabric with four-way stretch that provides tummy control and compression to carry you through your toughest workouts and day-to-day activities. MapleFit's leggings are designed to include four pockets which are large enough to hold your phone or keys and available in four stylish colours in a material thick enough to pass the squat test.
What people are saying
MapleFit's leggings are topping Amazon's Movers & Shakers list after a recent spike in sales. While there are only 11 customer reviews to choose from, customers have noted that MapleFit's products feature plenty of stretch - but may be worth sizing up.
"The yoga pants came true as described," one shopper wrote. "The material is so cool to the body and I love how stretchy it is. The high waist is another thing I love about it. Being a new mom and trying to get back into shape, the fact I have the high waist to support my tummy is a plus! The high waist does not roll down. I will definitely be buying more of the colours."
MapleFit's leggings are made from more of a performance-type fabric rather than the buttery-soft fabric typical of yoga pants and leggings.
"I usually buy AlongFit leggings on Amazon and I kept seeing these leggings so I thought I'd give them a try. I'm glad I tried them but the quality isn't the best, compared to the buttery softness of the leggings I'm used to; these are not nice to the touch," another wrote. "Also, they me feel like my butt looks ugly and I've never had that issue with a pair of leggings. I'll still wear them as yard work/cleaning pants but disappointed by the scratchy material and the fact that they don't really lift your butt."
We all have different wants and needs when it comes to leggings. If you're someone looking for a pair of leggings that you can wear day-to-day that cost $22 — then these might be the pair for you to try!
