First released in 1997, the Fallout video game series has been one of the largest and most celebrated gaming franchises in history. In fact, the franchise is still holding strong with Fallout 76 releasing in 2018. Now to build on the franchise's apocalyptic story, Amazon's Prime Video is gearing up to release its new Fallout television series. So to gear up for the show, the streaming platform has released its official trailer.

"200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them," reads a description from Prime Video. The show sees executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, who created HBO's Westworld, so it makes sense that the duo lead the way given their apocalyptic entertainment experience.

In the official trailer, you'll find a closer look at the plights of the end of the world, which adapts the gaming franchise's popular story and themes. Additionally, the show stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Clifton Moten, Walton Goggins, Moisés Arias and more.
