In my pre-pandemic life, the only thing I would use Amazon Canada to shop for was books. Now, more than two years into working almost exclusively from home, I have become a connoisseur of the Amazon Prime world. I order everything from groceries to toiletries, clothes and household supplies online, which has been incredibly convenient throughout the course of the pandemic.
As I've previously stated, one of my guilty pleasures of 2020 was watching cleaning videos on TikTok and learning useful tips and tricks through Instagram. One of the accounts I follow is Clean Co, a Calgary-based cleaning company with a massive online following of more than 2.4 million.

After months of following, I decided to purchase one of the company's most frequently used items, the Vileda EasyWring Microfibre Spin Mop & Bucket Floor Cleaning System — and am so happy I did. I've been using it for more than a year now — and it's totally worth the $37 price tag.
What is it?
The EasyWring Microfibre Spin Mop & Bucket Floor Cleaning System has a built-in hands-free wringer that makes it easy to clean your floors without leaving puddles of water everywhere.
To use, you simply fill the bucket up to the designated maximum line with your water and cleaning solution, dunk your mop and then place it into the wringer. A few pumps on the pedal with your foot (I like to do 10) spins the mop head to remove excess water, and then it's ready for cleaning.
The microfibre mop head can be used for wet or dry cleaning and then tossed into the washing machine when you're done. Vileda recommends replacing your mop head every three months, of which you can easily purchase on Amazon separately.
I was never a big fan of using mops and buckets for cleaning because of how much excess water would be on the mop and then end up all over my floors. I would dunk a cloth and wring it myself into hot water and vinegar or hot water and diluted bleach and clean my floors by hand but after pulling my back out earlier this year, that routine has become a thing of the past.
I was happy with how easy it was to use the mop and not have to bend over to clean or even get my hands wet. The maximum water line was also helpful so that the bucket was never too heavy to carry around from room to room and the splash guard was also an added bonus so that when using the foot pedal.
What people are saying
If you're skeptical about whether or not this mop system is for you, be sure to check out Vileda's Amazon customer reviews. The EasyWring Microfibre Spin Mop & Bucket Floor Cleaning System has earned a 4.7-star rating based on nearly 15,000 customer reviews - 12,000 of which are five-star.
"I love this mop and bucket," raved one reviewer who said they have textured tiles than "nothing was able to clean" until they purchased this mop.
"This mop is as amazing as you’ve probably heard," echoed another, who said they made the switch from the Swiffer WetJet to this.
"It's so easy to use," they continued, adding that it works on multiple floor surfaces and leaves floors "so clean.
However, some customers have complained that you need to replace the mop heads since they do show signs of wear and tear over time. Others have noted that the bucket is rather large, which may not be ideal for small spaces with limited storage.
I highly recommend the Vileda EasyWring Microfibre Spin Mop & Bucket Floor Cleaning System for anyone looking for a way to clean their floors without lots of bending or scrubbing. I use my mop on all of my hard floors and have been really pleased with how clean and shiny they are for the rest of the week. However, some customers do caution that you'll have to replace the mop heads more frequently than you may like.
