History is repeating itself at American Girl, and fans are here for the nostalgia.

The brand announced in an Instagram post on May 6 that it would be rereleasing three of its most beloved dolls from its classic historical characters collection: Kirsten Larson, Addy Walker, and Josefina Montoya.

Kirsten, one of the company's first three historical characters, debuted in 1986. After nearly 14 years, she is being brought back from the archive in her OG style. (The doll was previously re-released in a special 35th-anniversary edition format in 2021.)

While Addy and Josefina were never archived, updates to their introductory outfits and books have been implemented over the years. This latest release will bring the dolls back to their roots.
