Andreādamo Fall 2025: Turning Mistakes Into Strengths
Andrea Adamo let chance guide his creative process for fall 2025.
The designer, who this season sat out the official Milan Fashion Week schedule and presented his collection via private appointments, saw beauty in imperfection, riffing on production mistakes in prototypes for his knit-centric fashions.

For example, a test on a mouliné yarn in two colors — nude and black or white and black — was originally discarded for its irregular surface but was later deployed to craft dresses trimmed with chunky fringes. Meanwhile, a safety pin used during fittings to shorten a knit’s sleeve inspired Adamo to transform familiars garment via pleats, draping or asymmetrical effects.
Likewise, the errant combo of bouclé and English ribbing was elevated as a recurrent pairing — terrific on a zippered maxi sweater that oozed a comfy, cozy vibe while still making a statement. Ditto for a hard-to-miss eco-shearling coat with a rib-knit collar and pockets that was one of the highlights of the collection.
Best known for his sensual body-con dresses and cutout knits, it was refreshing to see Adamo play with new textures, oversize volumes and a masculine-feminine duality, while still conveying the unapologetic seductiveness that is at the core of his brand.
Adding to the textural quality of the lineup, Adamo not only used cashmere yarns for the first time but also introduced an animal pattern into his monochrome, nude-hued world. After tasking one of his suppliers with developing the fabric, a velvet yarn found its way into the leopard viscose jacquard during a test, resulting in a fuzzy 3D effect which the designer later leveraged for dresses, pencil skirts or cutout bodysuits helayer under tailored pieces.
Sartorial jackets — either coming in relaxed proportions or hourglass shapes — and ample pants with drawstrings cut from mannish fabrics were juxtaposed with lightweight separates in georgette or jersey to freely twist and drape around the body. No styling mistakes here.
